Specialty Lab Testing

Lab testing gives us insight into what’s going wrong in your body AKA your healing opportunities and how to remove obstacles to your wellness.

I offer many lab tests in my office and what I recommend will be tailored to your individual symptomatology or health goals, but below you can see a few examples of my most commonly used tests.

These tests don’t just tell us what’s not going well on a cellular level, but I use this information to create a customized plan to resolve imbalances through a combination of lifestyle, nutritional, and supplemental recommendations. These tests are always meant to be a catalyst for action, but some are also great as annual check ins to see if your lifestyle alone has you on track because that’s our goal.

  • Stress Response Testing

The Adrenocortex Stress Profile with CAR measures cortisol and DHEA through carefully timed saliva samples. It assists in understanding a patient's natural diurnal rhythm and the diagnosis of HPA imbalances. This test also measures the cortisol awakening response.

  • Gut Health Testing

The GI-MAP is a comprehensive stool test that utilizes qPCR technology to detect parasites, bacteria, fungi, and more, allowing practitioners to create personalized treatment protocols to address gut dysfunction.

  • Food Sensitivity Testing

Precision Point Diagnostics' P88-DIY Dietary Antigen Test analyzes IgE, IgG, IgG4, and complement (C3d) reactions to 88 foods with a powerful micro-sampling device. It helps identify and address food allergies and food sensitivities in patients with chronic illnesses. Unlike traditional finger stick tests, the P88-DIY has a validated, specific, pain-free process, making this test simple for everyone, even small children.

  • Hormone Testing

The Hormone and Urinary Metabolites Assessment Profile (HuMap™) provides a comprehensive overview of steroid hormones, their metabolites, and the efficiency of the enzymes that metabolize these hormones.

  • Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis

A hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) is a non-invasive, screening test that measures the level of 20 minerals and toxic metals in a sample of hair.

A hair tissue mineral analysis is much more than a test for minerals, it provides a blueprint of one's biochemistry. A hair tissue mineral analysis can provide pertinent information about your digestion, blood sugar, thyroid, metabolic rate, energy levels, carbohydrate tolerance, stage of stress, immune system and glandular activity.

  • Comprehensive Nutrition Testing

The Metabolomix+ combines a variety of tests to analyze key nutritional biomarkers, including organic acids, amino acids, and oxidative stress markers. This test cannot be ordered for patients under two years of age.

If you feel like you haven’t been able to get answers to your health issues or are curious to learn more about your health on a deeper level than meets the eye, then these tests may be for you.
