Treatment for TMD will vary person to person based on symptoms and findings from my exam. Examples include manual therapy to the jaw musculature outside of the mouth as well as intraorally, home recommendations and exercises, and jaw mobilizations.

The most common cause for TMD is an imbalance in the muscles of the jaw which I can help with, but there are times that the origin of a jaw issue is related to alignment of the teeth and bite, and in those case I work alongside dentists and orthodontists as well as myofunctional therapists. I assess for occlusive issues in my exam.
